There are two diagrams providing information about silkworm; silk production. tThe first diagram displays the life cycle of the silkworm; and the second diagram illustrates the process of how silk cloth has been is generated on a stage – by – stage basis.
Based on Looking at the first diagram, at the beginning of the cycle, a silkworm lays a large number of eggs on a mulberry leaf. After a ten-day period, silkworm larvae begin to hatch from their eggshells and, at this stage, silkworm larvae are fed on a mulberry leaf and gradually develop their bodies. Subsequently, each larva produces long white threads to cover his its body and takes around three to eight days to complete small cocoons. Next, all larvae emerge from the cocoon, leave its cocoons, and grow up as moths. Then, the cycle repeats itself.
Turning to the second flowchart, the cocoons becomes important materials for making silk cloth. To begin the process, the selected cocoons are boiled in hot water in order to unwind needles. disentangle them. Generally, the length of silk thread varies from 300 to 900 metres. Later, silk threads travel to the twisting stage. For the next step, some of these threads are dyed abruptly right away while some are initially woven and dyed later.
According to both diagrams, the A close relation between the former and latter one processes is apparently shown. Sseeing that, after having grown as into moths, its cocoons become important raw materials in the production of the silk cloth. After having done a few processes, the delicate cloth has been produced and dyed into many colours.
Estimate IELTS Band Score: 7.0
IELTS Examiner Comments: Excellent work. There are just some little errors and some in appropriate cohesive language (‘according to’, ‘based on’) However, everything else is very well done. It’s organized and you’ve mentioned all the steps thoroughly and clearly.
